Watch Tony Elumelu Speak on Entrepreneurship, Economic Opportunities and Job Creation at The White House
The White House brought together Emerging Entrepreneurs from across the United States and around the world to highlight the importance of investing in women and young entrepreneurs to create innovative solutions to some of the world’s toughest challenges, including poverty, climate change, extremism, as well as access to education and healthcare. This event comes ahead of the US President’s travel to this summer’s Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Kenya and provides a unique opportunity to galvanize global attention on emerging women and young entrepreneurs.
Tony O. Elumelu is a visionary entrepreneur and a philanthropist. Born, raised and educated in Africa, he has been responsible for creating businesses across the continent, in sectors critical to Africa’s economic development. He also founded The Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme (TEEP) which is the flagship entrepreneurship programme of the Tony Elumelu Foundation.
Tony Elumelu was part of the panel at the Recognizing Emerging Global Entrepreneurs which was held at The White House and hosted by the US President Barack Obama. Worthy to note that, Nigerian Entrepreneur Adepeju Jaiyeoba, founder of Mothers Delivery Kits was also recognized with other Entrepreneurs from around the world at this event.
